The applications for the 2025-2026 paramedic education program are now available. ( Paramedic Application ).

Completed applications must be submitted via mail or in person to Vista Medical Center East at 1324 North Sheridan Road, Waukegan, IL 60085, by 3 PM on May 23, 2025, for the 2025-2026 year-long course (projected start on August 18, 2025). Applications are currently being accepted and early course registration is encouraged. However, acceptance of your application by the North Lake Co. EMS/Vista Health Paramedic Training Program does not guarantee placement in a class; nor does acceptance into the program guarantee graduation.

Effective July 1, 2021, NLC EMS System Provider Agencies will submit Quality Assurance forms to document a review of 10% of their monthly call volume. Through the collection of information, the QA program will allow the detection of deficiencies, development and distribution of resolutions and to improve the quality of care delivered by providers.

Please refer to policy M05 Data Collection and Quality Improvement Program and the corresponding Quality Assurance Patient Care Review Form. Data is due to the NLC EMS Office no later than the 25th of the following month.
